About SGE Recovery Home
Founded on the belief that everyone deserves a second chance, we provide the structure, support, and community necessary for lasting transformation.
Our Mission
To empower individuals in recovery by providing a safe, structured, and compassionate living environment that fosters personal growth, accountability, and community connection. We believe that recovery is not just about abstinence — it is about rebuilding a life worth living.
Our Vision
A world where every person recovering from addiction has access to the housing, support, and resources they need to thrive. We envision our residents moving from dependence to independence, from isolation to community, and from survival to purpose.
Meet Our Founders
Built From Lived Experience

Markesha Scott
Hello, I'm Markesha Scott, one of the founders of SGE Recovery Home. My passion for helping others is rooted in both my personal journey and my career in public service. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and spent my early childhood in foster care, an experience that taught me resilience, compassion, and the life-changing impact of having a safe and supportive environment.
Eighteen years ago, I made Atlanta, Georgia, my home, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Clark Atlanta University. For the past 14 years, I have proudly served with the Atlanta Police Department, working to protect our community and support people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
As an advocate of inclusivity and one of the founders of SGE Recovery Home, I understand how important it is to create a place where every person feels welcomed, respected, and supported. My mission is to provide adults with a safe, structured environment where they can heal, rebuild their lives, and move confidently toward a brighter future.

Reggie Gibb
I am Reggie Gibb, a proud native of Atlanta, Georgia, a dedicated pharmacist, and the co-founder of SGE. I have a passion for serving my community and improving the health and well-being of those around me. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to providing exceptional patient care, building meaningful relationships, and helping my patients achieve the best possible health outcomes.
Beyond my profession, I am a proud father, mentor, and coach who believes in leading by example. As co-founder of SGE, I am committed to creating opportunities that support individuals and families while helping strengthen our community. Whether I am caring for patients, mentoring young people, coaching, or serving through SGE, I strive to make a positive impact with every encounter.
I believe that true leadership is measured by service, compassion, and the difference we make in the lives of others. My goal is to leave my community stronger, healthier, and better than I found it by serving with integrity, purpose, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.

Our Approach to Recovery
Recovery is a journey, not a destination. Our approach combines evidence-based practices with genuine human connection to create an environment where residents can heal, grow, and rebuild their lives.
Holistic Care
We address the physical, emotional, and social dimensions of recovery — not just the symptoms of addiction.
Goal-Oriented Structure
Clear expectations, daily routines, and measurable milestones give residents a roadmap to independence.
Peer Community
Residents support one another through shared experience, creating bonds that last well beyond their stay.
Our Core Values
Respect
Every resident is treated with dignity, regardless of their past. We create a judgment-free space for growth.
Accountability
We hold residents to high standards — because we believe in their ability to meet them.
Compassion
Recovery is hard. We meet struggle with understanding, setbacks with patience, and progress with celebration.
Community
No one recovers alone. We foster genuine connection and mutual support among residents and staff.
Integrity
We are honest, transparent, and consistent in everything we do — from admissions to daily operations.
Hope
We believe recovery is possible for everyone. Our entire program is built on this unwavering conviction.
